United Way of Delhi works for the community of the NCR region and other multiple locations across the country for Developmental Programs in the areas of Education, Environment, Public Health, and Livelihood. It invites applications for the post of Senior Coordinator - Proposal Development.


The Senior Coordinator – Proposal Development will participate in the strategic planning, budgeting, development for grants, and fundraising. This position is responsible for all phases of grants development, evaluation, and compliance, including research, pre-award grant writing, the coordination of grant applications, post award support for grant-funded projects, managing the grant reporting process, and successfully closing out grant projects with final budget and report outcomes to stakeholders.

The Coordinator/Senior Coordinator – Proposal Development will actively research and pursue prospective public and private funding sources, while developing relationships with potential funders. This position will coordinate with fund personnel, and other stakeholders as necessary.


Building New Partners: 

  • Reaching out to NGOs working in various thematic areas
  • Calling for proposals of their work
  • Providing them Support in developing the proposal
  • Reviewing their proposals and providing feedback aligning with their budgets and donor needs

SPOC/ Corresponding with Existing Partners:

  • Understanding their earlier and current relation with UWD
  • Ensuring smooth correspondence between us, them and donor partners- Reports and Documentation, Scheduling calls and Facilitating meeting between partners

Direct Projects:

  • Supporting team with content development of their projects- Reviewing, Feedback and reporting

Database of Decks:

  • Creating summary of Projects categorized by thematic area
  • Presenting projects internally for feedback and development of it thereof
  • Establishing clear communication between relevant Partners for smooth development of proposals and related documents


  • University degree (Master’s preferred) in public health, international development, or a related field
  • Three to five years of professional progressive work experience with an international NGO or UN-related agency
  • Experience writing proposals to donors
  • Outstanding writing skills: proposal writing, reviewing, editing and synthesizing field reports, analyzing qualitative and quantitative data, articulating results and producing high quality donor reports
  • Experience working with budgets, grants, and conducting researching
  • Computer literacy including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Internet
  • Experience in Results-Based Management (RBM), project cycle management
  • Excellent English writing skills is required
  • Excellent time management and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledgeable of funding sources, compliance issues, and legal and fiscal policies of funding sources and appropriate government agencies
  • Implement the use of technology to assist with grants development and management
  • High degree of initiative to find solutions and meet deadlines
  • Read, comprehend, interpret, and apply governmental regulations and proposal guidelines

Experience should be 0 - 5 years.
