The United Way is the largest Volunteer led, not for profit Movement which spans across the globe, with local United Way Organizations established in 47 countries and territories. Each organization however is unique to its community, its country and its culture. However, they all are united by the simple idea that people in a community can come together, pool their resources, and work collectively to deal with compelling community issues in a way that is more powerful than any one individual or entity alone. All the local United Way movements function in accordance with the global standards of Ethical Behavior, Transparency, Accountability, Efficiency and Effectiveness. United Way of Delhi works for the community of the NCR region and other multiple location across the country for Developmental Program in the areas of Education, Environment, Public Health and Livelihood. It invites applications for the post of Education Coordinator. A minimum of one year engagement is recommended for the benefit of both the individual’s learning and the organization. 


United Way Delhi is looking for Foundational Numeracy and Learning (FLN) Instructor on an immediate basis for implementing project activities in 4 government schools in Faridabad location. The person must have the skills and experience to deliver on Key Performance indicators (KPIs) in the following areas:


Description:

  • Implementation of the project activities at the designated schools.
  • Assess students' learning progress and adapt peer learning as an innovative tool for FLN (Foundational Literacy and Numeracy).
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with school administrators and teachers to integrate project activities into the school's curriculum.
  • Keep accurate, complete records of the progress of each student
  • Organize SMC and parents teacher meeting whenever required
  • Collaborate with teachers to co-create lesson plans tailored to scheduled classes.
  • Assist in ensuring the safety of all children in the classroom and school during the school hours
  • Support the fellow teachers and encourage them for usage of smart class room
  • Regularly communicate with the Program Lead regarding progress and challenges.
  • Any other task assigned by the program lead/senior management

You are the right person if you are:

  • Self-starter and can lead project implementation independently
  • Organized and an excellent communicator- written as well as oral
  • A people's person with natural flair and passion towards addressing community mobilizing and awareness on social issues in underserved communities
  • Proficient in communicating in English and Hindi (proficiency in regional language will be an added preference)
  • A sound knowledge of New Education Policy and passionate about facilitation 

Qualification:

  • B.ED/B.EL.ED/Post graduate in Arts, Science, commerce with good percentile from a reputed university (preference to be given to teaching background candidates)
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience of working directly with school students and well versed with New education policy and innovative teaching and learning process 

Remuneration:
Subject to relevant qualification, experience, merit and as per the organization`s norms.
