United Way Delhi, in partnership with NIMHANS and the Office of the Principal Scientific Advisor, Government of India is organizing “SVASTI: A National Consultation on Charting a Roadmap for Mental Health Services” on March 28, 2023, at NIMHANS, Bengaluru.
- SVASTI is a multi-stakeholder event aiming to address individual and structural challenges
- The event will create a roadmap for interventions, collaborations, and partnerships at both the ground and policy level while providing a unique opportunity to engage in dialogue and share insights and inputs on mental health.
- Experts shall contribute towards positively impacting public’s awareness, perception, and access to mental health services

NIMHANS: The National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS) is a multidisciplinary institute for patient care and academic pursuit in the field of mental health and neurosciences. The institute provides inputs to the Central and State Governments in areas including the establishment of new psychiatric facilities, improvement of existing facilities and strategizing a national programme for mental health.

PSA: The Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser (PSA) was established by the Indian government in November 1999 with the objective of providing practical and unbiased advice to the Prime Minister and the cabinet on matters related to Science and Technology. In August 2018, the PSA’s office was placed under the Cabinet Secretariat. Presently, Professor Ajay Kumar Sood holds the position of the Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India.
